ALWAYS drink half a bottle of gin before facing horrible tasks - it won't make them any easier to handle - but you'll look forward to them coming round again!Is there any advice you want to give me before i clean all 3 of my domestic drains?
once a month dry around the plugs in you sink etc, pour down some bicarb of soda then wash down with white vinegar......watch it clean... prevents blocking, smells and is great fun to watch..... try it, i do mine all the time....you wont believe how good it is...good luck and let me know how you get on...

Call a plumber. Don't poison yourself with the fumes
A Friend of mine is a plumber and warned me the danger's of putting anything down the drains to clean them, especially the chemicals you buy on the shelf (Mr Muscle etc) because all these will do is congeal at the bottom of your wavin pipe, and before all you people start accusing plumbers of just saying this so they can get the work believe me they don't like being called out to unblock drains. I'd agree with calling Dyno Rod or if your not afraid of the smell and the shite unscrew the big plastic nut under the u-bend and start cleaning. Don't follow the advice of mixing anything and watching it evaporate your shite cause your only asking for long term trouble.
wear a clothes pin on your nose.
Put some gloves on. If it really keeps blocking, you might be better to get someone to shove a drain rod through.
