Photographing a golf tournament- what advice would you have for shooting, and what are some basic rules?

I would think not taking a photo during the players approach or downswing. Any other advice or good angles I should consider?

Thank you!Photographing a golf tournament- what advice would you have for shooting, and what are some basic rules?
1) use long lenses

2) shoot from flat on the ground or on a scaffold

Bring plenty of memory cards.

Rules? Don't move while the player is preparing to shoot. Be quiet. Obey security.Photographing a golf tournament- what advice would you have for shooting, and what are some basic rules?
Make sure you have permission to take a camera onto the course, normally they are not allowed for pro tournaments.

Use a longer lens to keep any potential for camera sounds from upsetting the golfers.
