Never drive drunk ( a friend of mine was just killed by a drunk driver), always make sure you're paying attention to the road - no distractions like cell phones, etc. and be aware of what is going on around you. What advice would you give to other drivers regarding driving safely?
ITS BETTER TO LOSE A SECOND IN LIFE
THEN A LIFE IN A SECOND.What advice would you give to other drivers regarding driving safely?
Give your full attention to driving. Don't let other drivers' bad manners get you steamed up. Don't be an aggressive driver.
Realize that getting in front of another car when you're in a hurry doesn't save time. When you are running late and traveling 15 miles in stop and go traffic, speeding is not going to help more than a few mins, get out of bed earlier! Just speaking from experience.
All of the answers are good. The only thing I have to add is that Commercial Trucks weigh in when loaded up to 40tons(that is 80,000lbs) and require a lot of stopping distance (up to100yards or more). When coming upon a construction zone don't race a car up next to them, and then cut in front of the truck and come to a stop!!! you might just die!!!
turn signal
Wear a seat belt, don't speed, back off the bumper of the person in front of you, pay attention (that means put down the cell phone), AND DON'T BE STUPID ENOUGH TO DRINK AND DRIVE!!!!
While you are driving on the highway stay out of the left lane unless you are passing someone. If you want to drive the exact speed limit or less then stay in the right lane. All you'll end up doing is ticking off the people who are stuck behind you. They'll eventually cut someone off or drive on the shoulder to pass you.
Keep your eyes on the road, stop pulling out in front of big trucks, get off the phone. Walk.
wear a helmet
have good music, peaceful soft music makes me drive slower and more steady
Don't speed and always pay full attention to the road. I need to take my own advice!
QUIT TAILGATING!!!!! USE YOUR SIGNALS!!!!! STAY OFF THE STUPID CELL PHONE!!!! Hope that helps.
cousin!!!
Drive safetly.
use turn signals, be patient, slow down, TURN ON YOUR HEADLIGHTS in the rain (i drive a bus, and you CANT see cars in your mirror w/out lights on!!)
