Is it worth it?
Any advice would help! What advice would you give to someone enlisting in the Army Infantry?
Uh let me think, yeah! My advice to you is get in shape, and may you shoot straighter and faster than your enemy. If you haven鈥檛 gone to boot yet here鈥檚 a few tips
-Shut up and do what you are told, this is a big part! They do this so you do not hesitate on a battlefield.
-Pack light; you are not staying at the Hilton (hotel not Paris)
-Get in good shape! It may only be 10%physical but having 11% never hurts.
-Do not take anything personal, when my bro went to ft benning a drill sergeant would constantly screw with each and every recruit.
-They cant kill you so don鈥檛 worry they are scary but the training they went through is ten times harder than what you are going through
-As with anything you are going to have your ups and downs do not get discouraged.
-Good luck and god bless. What advice would you give to someone enlisting in the Army Infantry?
yeah, avoid fort benning in the summer.....its HOT, damn HOT down here.....other than that....quarters and stamps.....you can sell them 2 for 1 in basic training.....other than that stay off of victory drive....oh yeah when you get an off post pass, go to the 4 WINDS CAFE, home of the ranger burger
You alone can know the worthiness of enlisting in the military. Why are you enlisting? How old are you? What do hope to achieve? Are you prepared for all consequences of the being in the military? I, myself, cannot advise you without my own question being answered first. If you are serious with your question, you can email me through Y%26amp;A email.
Why are you doing it?
Don't......
No
Not at this time! We are involved in an illegal war that is draining our resources, diminishing our quality of life in the United States and killing and maiming our young people.
It is wonderful that people want to defend our country. If we are in danger then there should be a mandatory time that each person has to put into the military in some capacity that suits their abilities. We are not needed or wanted at this time in Iraq where you would probably be sent and the risk of returning alive or physically and mentally stable is not very good.
Being in the military is a noble profession, but wait a few years for this time of unrest to be settled and then make up your mind.
God bless you for considering such service. Be sure you're up for the danger and sacrifice. Also, be sure you have your affairs in order, like having a will.
Every aspect of your training is for a reason, and that reason is not simply to screw with you. You are there to learn new skills and a new attitude, both of which are essential to keeping you alive in your chosen profession.
Don't take short cuts. Do it the right way, every time, regardless of who's looking, and let that become second nature.
Good luck and be safe. Make us proud of you.

Have fun in Iraq. Since your joining infrantry, you have a 90% chance of going. I spent a year there as a mechanic. Its hot as hell during the day and Antartica cold at night. I hope you like burning human feces, because thats what you do a lot. Since your about to go boot camp, I would party and get everything out of your system now. I know a lot of people will tell you try to get in shape, but it doesn't matter, because they will whip you into shape regardless. I wish that before I went to boot camp, I didn't try so hard to get in shape, I wish I would of hung out with my friends and family more and partied.
Hope you like scrubbing tomato cans!!!!
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!
Honestly...just shut your mouth and do what you're told, and you'll do just fine.
Automatic Weapons Aren't
If the enemy is in range so are you
When the attack is going well it's an ambush
and above all..............DUCK
