Did the tenant not have renter's insurance? I pity him if he did not.

What have you learned about life so far? What advice can you give everyone?

I believe that each and every human being has a story worth telling. I would like to hear yours. What have you learned about life so far? What advice can you give everyone?
I have learned that there is no forever, so a person has to be ready to adapt to change. Life is all about changes. The better a person is able to ';go with the flow';, the better they will be able to live a happy life. What have you learned about life so far? What advice can you give everyone?
Never forget that everyone is on this planet doing the same thing that you are... living. Almost every human desires the same thing... happiness, the ability to live freely, the basic necessities to survive and some space to be individuals. Learn to put yourself in another persons shoes and realize how similar we all really are.
i learnt never to trust no one.

EVERYONE ive ever known has screwed me over. so it taught me to ONLY rely upon myself.
What I have learned from life is just when you think you have it all figured out, life throws you a sucker punch. The best advice I have got is keep your head up, and your nose to the grind stone. Happiness is how you look at your situation not what you do or did. Example say you got lost your job, then that wish that you had nothing to do just came true. So learn to laugh at the irony of life, but don't stop living it just go where it takes you. Do the best you can, regardless of what others think ';your best'; is always good enough, the only person you have to beat is yourself.
i have learnt dat life is an exam we have 2 pass and we wil get reward in da form of heaven or hell! basically i advise all to dun trust any1 coz every1 is so selfish and will consider u after their own preferences! u come in dis world alone n u have to leave it alone! believe in god! and live fairly!
It is still being written, and I take as many notes as possible.

In life there are spaces for many things, they move and move you. they are alive with mysteries , they are fragile and they become strong, they are foundational in many forms. being touched and touching the elements are in itself, the introduction to all that I can hope to know.
As each year passes I discover that there is so much to learn in life. When I was a teen life seemed to revolve around myself and my immediate circle of friends and family. When I went to college I met a lot of different and fascinating people. At the age of 21 I found myself wanting to learn about everything I could possibly learn in one lifetime. People and different cultures are so interesting and yet basically at the core so similar.

I traveled to a few foreign countries when I was 22 and met even MORE different and fascinating people I constantly read and try to learn about current events and historical events as well.

I moved from the south to Minnesota when I was 25 and learned that even in America there are cultural differences by region and now when I talk to friends and family from back home they can hear the change in my accent and way of life.

The most important thing I have learned over 29 years of life is to stop judging and start living.

No one is better than anyone else and everyone can teach you something about life if you just listen and learn.
That we are the creator (God) of our own World. Feelings and thoughts create.
First thing I've learned: if you can't write intelligibly, use the spellcheck.
hi there,,, well a story worth telling .. yes my story is that as a child i lost my innosence..as i grew i lost my health withtime now i am a disabled in college.. i lost my marriage once married.. well is taht a story .. and i lost myself now..

let me telll u these lines above r not just a story but the reality of my life, i have really lost a lot .. but wat have i learned is that no matter what i beleive in my ownself... i am a top scorer at my uni .. and even the profs had underestimated my abilities im an author of 20 articles on psychology a poet of 200+ poems and my age is only 20... believe it or not .. its the truth ...

what have i learned is that i am strong to face every torment of this world... solobng as i trust no one but myself and God... and my message to this world is that .. u might feel alone and broke.. but if u believe in yourself... you will never break down and cry .. u will never feel dead beforer death .. and the most important thing is that ...i have started councelling people after all i went through and i find peace in it .. so by sharing others sorrows your decrease your pain .. HELP OTHERS LIVE AND YOUR LIFE WILL BE EASIER...

God bless the world.. amen
i've learned to enjoy the differences in people in that understanding them rather then condemning them is easier, it doesn't help in liking them any more mind you but at least i know why.
That one can act responsibly and still fail to achieve one's goals.
k listen now my advice 2 u is tht u should let ur n ur brain decide not wht otherz say about whatever thing n more life is about tryin n not winning coz tryin is in fact more than winning

n much much more 2 say...
LIFE-I AM LEARNING IT EVERY TIME,IT OFFERS ALL THE NEW EXPERIENCES TO ME ALL THE TIME,IT IS DEEP AND SOUND DEEP INSIDE BUT TENDER AND LOVABLE,ITS A MIXTURE OF TRUTH AND FICTION,ITS SOMETIMES SWEET AND SOUR,ITS CUROIUS AND JELOUS AT TIMES,AND SO ON.....BUT ONE THING I LEARNED LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.
we should enjoy the every moment of it and let the others do the same. My life story is a romantic comedy with some tragic character playing their minor roles. I'm the hero and the villain in my story.
I have learned to trust God in everything that i do and everything works out for the better when i do.
That every man is deserving of a modicum of sympathy. Most of us aren't that many $$ from living in a box on the street. Giving makes the heart feel good.

Most things of real value do not come without effort; sometimes lots of effort. No matter what the skill, there are no shortcuts around diligence and practice.

Most everyone could use a little more patience; especially me.

And life is indeed short, but my life has been full and joyful, because I have an appreciation for the simple things as well as the complex and the material. Everybody likes ';toys,'; but for some there's no end to it. Material goods do not bring real happiness.
I have learned that life is not fair but that there is nothing you can do about it. I've learned that when it is your time to die, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it, but that if it is NOT your time to die, then you are not going....regardless of stupid medical mistakes etc......

I've learned that no matter how good or bad it gets, life never stays the same. Everything changes.
there is a right and wrong why to do a right and wrong thing .so many do the right thing the wrong why and wonder why god is not with them they must do the right thing the right way .and so many no how to do a wrong thing the right way and they prosper in wrong doing and we say to god why i who do what is right and he that does what is wrong ,why is it he succeeds and i fail? it is because we must do the right thing the right why to succed or we must do the wrong thing the right why to suceed .to do the right or wrong thing the wrong why is foolish and unproductive .
Probably the most important thing I've learned so far, is that this is my life, and it's up to me (and nobody else) to determine how I see things. Events are simply that ,an event, and I can choose which way I see and deal with that event. I find I am more at peace when I control my life and don't let life control me.
It was Shakespeare who once said: ';At least to thine self be honest!'; Never was there a truer life philosophy spoken!!!!
I've learned that we all want happiness, and when we try to fill it ourselves, we fail. Happiness comes from using your talents to serve others, and others will give back to you to provide happiness. The other thing is to be real about your weaknesses. This keeps you humble as you use your talents to serve others. These two things are blessed by God and what will grant us exception in the next life.

I want to start canning, do you have any advice?

I am moving to a farm and I will have about every vegetable and already have some fruit trees, peach, pear, apricot, apple. Do you have any advice for a first time canner?I want to start canning, do you have any advice?
Be organized and make sure you have everything you need before you even start. Read through all the recipes your going to use and make sure you have enough ingredients. Make sure your jars are sterilized along with the lids and rings. Have your water tested if your making anything pickled, soft water will make them mushy and give a nasty looking color. Having enough counter/work space is very important. When your jars come out of the canner place them away from any cool drafts as they can and will shatter if you put them directly in front of an a/c vent {yes it happened to me, what a damn mess plum jelly no less} Have fruits and veggies ripe but not over or under ripe that will also make a big diff in the quality of the finished product. If you want to do allot of canning stagger your planting so your not overwhelmed because everything will come ripe at the same time. In other words plant 2 rows of peas then 1 week later plant 2 more, this goes for anything you really like. And if you get overwhelmed with your harvest don`t be afraid to give it away, but be forewarned your friends might start locking there cars and hiding if you try and pawn too much off on them, LOL. Good luck with your venture.I want to start canning, do you have any advice?
Get an updated book on canning. Follow the directions to the letter. Canning is a lot of work and it is time consuming but the results are worth the effort. Again, it is vital that you read, understand and follow the directions. Some foods that contain a lot of acid or are canned with vinegar are pretty safe but low acid foods and meat are dangerous unless it is done exactly right. You will find by reading the canning book that some things have to be pressure canned and some can be water bath canned. There is a big difference. Each type of food will have different instructions as to how to pack them and how much time they have to spend in the caner. Read up on it and enjoy.
Don't jump to conclusions about someone elses canning unless you've tried it. Some people don't always tell the truth and some are just plain stupid.

Try all methods or at least try and figure them out. I wouldn't try anything that I didn't know for sure, you could waste a lot of time and expenses.
Go to the library and ask them what books they can recommend for you; You have to know what you are doing when you can something because if you do it wrong you could get very very sick from the bacteria or even mold getting in the food.
Start shopping thrift stores, garage sales, wherever, now for supplies. Jars can be found for $.10- $.50 at garage sales, etc. I bought my canner at St Vincents for $5.00. You will save oodles of money if you start now, before everybody else does.
Ball Corp. has a very good book on canning. Not so detailed but informative. I bought one at Wal mart two years ago( In the canning supply dept)
you should look around at diffrent websites to help you out in what you need for supplies.

  • What general advice can you ppl give me a 1st time skier??

I'm off in January to Bulgaria with 17 other people, They all done it before (except one of them) So me and her are going to do ski school. I brought my jacket today, But i plan on hiring everything else. What tips can you give me to help me out? Anything from Clothing, to help with my technique.

What general advice can you ppl give me a 1st time skier?? Or shall i try snowbording before sking??What general advice can you ppl give me a 1st time skier??
Well my advice is that u try skiing because snowboarding will be harder. I am sure you are going to fall a lot of times even if u use skies. Another thing is that clothing will not help you with your technique. And you can hire skies, without problem. Better skies wont make u ski better, trust me I knw. They will give u just fine skies. What general advice can you ppl give me a 1st time skier??
If you are only skiing on one trip, don't bother buying your own boots. ';Hired'; boots suck, but it's not worth it to buy new boots for one trip.

Technique: well, you have to get lessons. You really have to. You won't develop without the guidance of an instructor, and if you try without, you may actually end up in the first aid shack.

    So, invest in lessons!

You want gloves, hat, and goggles as well!
    1. if you fall over it hurts

    2. dont eat yellow snow

    3. its bloody cold so wrap up warm
    Dont fall !
trust me get your own boot's too....and dont break anything
My daughter went skiing for the first time last year to Croatia, she bought everything except boots and skis. Her recommendation is definitely buy your own boots

What advice would you give to a person who feels so hopeless that suicide seems like the only solution?

... and this person is not open to the concept of counselling/therapy.

... this person wants to isolate herself and dissapear

How would you help this person? What advice would you give to a person who feels so hopeless that suicide seems like the only solution?
I would say that you need to talk to them. Just listen. Maybe she just wants someone to listen. If she told you this, she wants you to listen.

If it's you, that you are talking about then

you need to know people care. Things will get easier. It's always darkest before the dawn. Everyone has hard times. What advice would you give to a person who feels so hopeless that suicide seems like the only solution?
Send them bright and cheery flowers with a little card to cheer them up. Everytime they see the flowers they might feel a little better...long enough to cope and work thru their depression.
Remind them that there is no going back for a redo after the fact. Better be absolutely positive first. Then I would remind them that it might be better to hang around a bit just to see what happens next.
suicide is easier to consider then to actually do(succesfully) but you can always try and see.
If that person is actually considering suicide, I would have that person involuntarily hospitalized as a suicide risk. Suicidality is a psychiatric disease, and it can be fatal, it's no less urgent than a physical wound or infection, and needs treatment, even if the person does not want it. By definition, anyone who is considering suicide (with only very few exceptions defined by serious endstage physical disease) does not at that point have the capacity to make their own health care decisions, so he (or she) must be treated, even if it's against his will.
I agree 100% with The Doc. Death isn't an option. That would only be the beginning of torment.

There is hope. The Bible teaches us that God is our hope. There is always something to hold to when we feel this way. Some days it may only be a tiny little sliver of something, but something at least.

If it is you or a friend - my advice would be to ';seek help'; and Pray to GOD to comfort and lead.

BTW GOD is with us even when we are alone and He loves each of us the same. The Bible also teaches us that HE is our help in our time of need.

Sometimes we focus on things too much and lose sight of the real purpose of life.

Hope this can be of help!
If she likes pets...I would like her to come to my place and help me teach my cat not to **** on the floor. She has a litter box, I need help to teach her how to use it.
Fortunately the only thing that can be done and the only person that can help you is you. You need to find the will to live and understand that is not a way out. And if you do this you hurt everyone around you. So if you are really serious and u just don't feel like going on then you need to put yourself in the Hospital and make yourself safe so that you cant harm your self. I'm sure that you are scared right now so consider it A time out and a small Vacation to get some help. Trust me I have been there , where you just don't know if you can go on. And the only way out you think is Suicide. But it's not. So take some time to your self and think really hard about what you are going to be throwing away. And understand that if you do it there is no coming back , and life is always going to be hard and challenging. And there is always going to be ups and downs. But trust me it always gets better I promise. It might not seem like it right now but It dose. Sp please just pray to God to give you Peace of mind and Live and be the great person that you are and that God had intended you to be.

    God Bless you.

And please don't do it. Remember it dose get better.....

How can you tell good advice from bad advice?

I wanted to put this question up to help others realise that not all advice they obtain is good advice. I myself think that if the person seems to know what he or she is talking about, and posts it in a intulectual manner, with proper sources, Not just: I know relationships, Or I know I know. How can you tell good advice from bad advice?
    There's a old saying:

    ';Listen to too much advice and you end up making other people's mistakes.';

Take advice under consideration, but let the final call be yours.
