Any particular business tips you received that has really made a difference in making money and conducting business?What is the best business advice you ever got?
I've never received any business advice but as a 17 year old entrepreneur, I have learnt by my mistakes and problems, overcome these and made a success of my business already.
The best advice I can give you, is when you come to a point where everything you could possibly imagine goes wrong and it stresses you out completely - keep going. Work as hard as you can because in the end it will definitely be worth it! Giving up (as tempting as it will sound at the time) shows weakness in your business skills and proves that you won't really make a success of yourself in the future. Being able to manage the wrongs and overcoming the problems, reassures your ability to run a business properly.
Where advertising is concerned, and believe me the advertising is the most difficult part when you start up a new business especially if you're low on cash, find every possible free advertising company out there that you can use. Post your website or store or company name etc anywhere on the internet such as forums etc but careful not to spam. That wouldn't look very good at all in association to your business.
Also, create a MySpace, Facebook and other social networking sites' accounts specifically for your company. Provide details on who you are, what you offer and how to contact you. It works a lot because you're targeting a much wider audience.What is the best business advice you ever got?
';Be there.';
You cannot do business if your store is not open. You must be responsive to your customers. You must be available for your customers. You must be there.
I'm serious. Have you ever been to a store and the only person working has put up a sign ';be back in 5 minutes?'; Did you stand around for 5 minutes? Did you come back in 5 minutes? Are you sure they don't mean 10 or 15 minutes? Most likely, you just left and they missed out on a sale.
Be there.
Find the need and then fill it rather than figure out what you can do and then try to convince people THAT is what they need.
Pay yourself first
